POSITION TITLE: Sustainability Intern Trainee
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Assist the OSU Sustainability Coordinator with program development, project implementation, data collection, data
entry, event planning, marketing, publicity, newsletter production, social media and website updates
- Serve as connection to OSU student groups, Res Life, and campus departments
- Prepare exhibits, conduct tours, and make presentations to a variety of audiences
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills necessary to exchange accurate information in presentations
and on projects
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Working knowledge of Excel, word processing and desktop publishing programs
- Marketing, publicity and social media experience
- Website management skills preferred
- OSU Housing & Residential Life experience preferred
- Videography and graphic art experience preferred
- Preference will be given to freshmen and juniors
- Hiring contingent on passing background check
WORK HOURS:
- Between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday
- Should be able to work approximately 4-5 hours per week during spring and summer while in training and 10-15
10-15 hours per week thereafter
- Must be able to work in blocks of 2 hours or more at a time
- Required to work after hours and weekends when needed for events and meetings, including Housing &
Residential Life Move-in Recycling days and other activities
RATE OF PAY: $8.50 per hour starting pay
