OColly Student Media Announcement

Interested in working for student media?  Come to Journalism Building room 208 Saturday August 19 at 3 p.m., to meet with O'Colly and Bullet Broadcast leadership to hear about opportunities, learn about student media, and sign up to join the staff!

No previous writing or journalism experience is required.  The O'Colly is looking for students of all majors and backgrounds to be a part of student media.  If you want to work hard, learn more and compete for national awards in college media, come to JB 208 on Saturday!

Ever wonder what it's like to cover an OSU football season?  Interested in helping make a nightly news cast?  Want to lead an in-depth investigation like "Spotlight" or "All the President's Men"?  Student media is the place to get started.

Applicants will start out as general assignment reporters writing about campus events and breaking news.  With some work and dedication, general assignment reporters will be assigned a beat in sports, news or lifestyle where they'll produce stories every week about subjects important to OSU students, faculty and staff like OSU sports, crime and student government.

For those interested in photography and videography, applicants will start right off the bat shooting photos for the print and online editions of the O'Colly.  Videographers will help with content for the O'Colly staff as well as produce our daily news show, Bullet Broadcast, making packages packages like in real-world newsrooms.

The best careers in communications start with student media.  We're living in a changing and revolutionary time for media, and we want you to be a part of it.
