Carl Albert Intern -- Digital Communications Specialist

Oklahoma Health Care Authority has an opening for a Carl Albert Intern -- Digital Communications Specialist.

Annual Salary:  $40,003.00

Summary:  The digital communication specialist will report to the director of the OHCA Office of Creative Media and Design (OCMD) and work closely with the digital strategist to create, produce, implement and evaluate cutting-edge digital strategy campaigns related to key health outcomes.  Platforms may include but are not limited to OHCA public websites (  and, social media platforms, agency publications and text messaging.

Typical Functions May Include:
Develop and edit digital and print content to ensure clarity and accuracy, consistency with branding standards (logos, formats and colors) and compliance.  Provide copy editing for grammar and style;

Design, edit and monitor content for agency webpages, maintaining sensitivity to appropriate literacy levels and varying cultures of the targeted audiences;

Develop front end webpages that adhere to Internet design and coding standards.  Assist contributors and developers with conceptualizing, organizing and designing webpages;

Assist in development, implementation and evaluation of digital communication strategies and objectives;

Ensure digital communication strategies are aligned with target audiences in terms of reach and effectiveness; and,

Other duties may be assigned.

TRAVEL:  Travel in and out of state as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Preferred Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Communication or a closely related field; and,
Current enrollment in a Master's program; and
Completion of six graduate hours.

Eight female college students receive a paid summer internship, $1,000 scholarship, registration/lodging at AWSM's 2017 Conference and a one-year AWSM membership!

Internship with Pinto Horse Association of America

Position:  Camera Operator

Company:  Pinto Horse Association of America, Inc.

Location:  Tulsa, OK

Work Period:  November 2-13, 2016

Supervisor:  Will report to IT Department and office management

Job Description:  Assist with all aspects of filming the Color Breed Congress, Ranch Horse Congress and the Mule and Donkey horse shows.  Duties include:  running camcorder for the webcast.

Other Info:  The objective of this internship is to provide students a behind-the-scenes look at marketing a large equine show.

Student must be:

-  Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
-  Able to travel to Tulsa
-  Work long hours

Requirements:  Must be enrolled in upper-level collegiate courses.  Basic knowledge of video, using a Canon High Definition Camcorder, Knowledge of Mac a plus

Benefits:  Contract labor fee of $125/day, lodging and meals while in Tulsa.  No transportation costs wiill be provided.  Must have own transportation.
