Job Description:
The International Ground Source Heat Pump Association is looking for an energetic, dedicated, hardworking student to serve as the IGSHPA Publications Student Intern starting April 2018.

Student's job duties are:
- Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.) to create and edit dynamic, effective marketing and communication materials for theassociation including but not limited to: layout of digital/print magazine, various advertisements and announcements for both print and digital media, technology outreach and promotion material for general public, and other material as requested.

- Write and edit copy for technical and feature stories for Geo Outlook magazine as well as other publication media.

- Create surveys using Survey Monkey website; promote participation in surveys; Analyze and compile results for submission to Board of Directors and other stakeholders; Data visualization and representation of analytical data required

- Assist staff in developing and implementing membership and/or marketing campaigns

- Assist in and support IGSHPA advertisement sales activities (website, newsletter, and magazine advertisements), including:  sales calls, customer relationship development, contract tracking, artwork management

- Assist IGSHPA training and membership departments as needed, including front office work

Since 1987 IGSHPA has served as the industry association for the ground source heat pump industry.  With more than 5,000 members worldwide, we are the global leaders in training, research, and promotion related to the green and renewable energy technology of ground-source heat pumps.  Join our multi-cultural, age diverse team to gain experience in a dynamic outreach, extension, and communication role for an outreach unit in the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology.  Please note, IGSHPA offices are located off campus.

Skills/Competencies Required:

-  Excellent writing skills, verbal communication and technical skills are required
-  Excellent organization skills are essential
-  Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
-  Customer Relations Skills
-  Oral and Written Communication Skills
-  Experience with database management

Work Times/Pay: The ideal candidate will work up to 20 hours a week.  Office hours are 8-5 Monday-Friday. Set working hours are flexible with student's class schedule and will also sometimes vary contingent upon magazine deadlines and other office deadlines.  This is a paid position.
