Digital Media Fellowship (New York City):  Mother Jones is looking for an all-star digital-media fellow to keep us current on social platforms, and enhance our multimedia coverage of breaking news -- especially with snappy, smart video.   THis fellow will work closely with Mother Jones' digital news team in our New York City office.  You'll learn about every aspect of modern online publishing, collaborating with seasoned editors and reporters.  You'll also attend regular skill-building sessions covering topics that span the operations of a media organization.

Desired Skills:
* Video editing experience, including familiarity with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite (especially Premiere)
* Evidence of hands-on production, including writing for video and shooting in the field
* Stellar writing ability, as demonstrated by published work
* Comfort with content management systems
* A zeal for online news and media
* A working knowledge of HTML and experience with Photoshop
* Endless enthusiasm for digital storytelling languages like memes, GIFS, and Vines
* Deep familiarity with social media
* Previous reporting experience a strong plus

Ideal candidates will have experience working in a fast-paced digital newsroom.  We'll want you to bring some skills to the table:  Maybe you've got experience as a quick-hit blogger, you've worked in social media or you've more-than-dipped your toes in video-editing software.  The fellow will work in the New York City office.

Marketing Internship -- Boardroom Salon for Men

Boardroom Sales for Men, the leader in the upscale men's grooming segment and the place where men get ready, is looking for a passionate intern candidate to help develop, execute, and evaluate marketing strategies.  Boardroom provides the ultimate relaxed grooming experience for men across 26 locations throughout Texas, Tennessee, Oklahoma and Georgia.

The Marketing intern will be responsible for assisting in the execution of marketing strategies and initiatives to drive profitable business results.  This position will work on various projects and will coordinate and execute with operations and marketing teams.

This self-motivated individual will assist with day-to-day marketing functions such as media resesarch, creative strategy, branding, updating and maintaining social media and community relations, in addition to various operational funtions.  As an intern with Boardroom, you will gain valuable experience in many facets of the marketing industry including research, copywriting, social media, strategy, graphic production and more.

The Markting intern will report directly to the Marketing Manager and CEO.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Develop new marketing tactics to the marketing leadership team in response to the competitive landscape for all Boardroom markets
* Collaborate on PR and editorial content for print, online and blog publications and special projects
* Secure and engage strategic partnerships with organizations and businesses within the communities of each salon and handle outreach for
  charitable donations
* Assist in creation of social calendar and content and execute across all social platforms
* Work on specialized marketing projects designed to support overall business and drive customer awareness of products and services
* Monitor and understand salon performance and client satisfaction trends and resolve issues and make improvements as needed to achieve
  targets

FUNCTIONAL AND TECHNICAL SKILLS:
* Understanding of general marketing principles, branding, social media, events and marketing material development
* Familiarity of use of social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin, etc.
* Grasp of social media analytics; ability to effectively interpret and summarize data
* Great attention to detail, enthusiasm, organization, multi-tasking and desire to be a team player
* Experience creating news releases, pitches and other media materials
* Strong work ethic, attention to detail and ability to work individually
* Ability to prioritize arrangements, meet deadlines and adapt to changing needs
* Advanced skill set with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word, and strong verbal and written organizational skills
* Prior retail experience and/or internship experience preferred
* Web Design/WordPress skills a plus
* Graphic design skills a plus
* Knowledge of SEO and SEM is an asset

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate would be passionate about marketing , and currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate marketing, public relations or related program. They would be balanced in terms of being both intuitive and savvy about marketing, pop culture, public relations and social media.  A fire for creativity and the hustle to do good work!

PAY:

Internship at Edmon Low Library

The OSU Library seeks a creative and tech savvy individual to serve as an Emerging Technology Intern.  The successful candidate will work with a mix of OSU Library faculty, staff and students as part of this role.  The Intern will assist with Library technology outreach, including but not limited to providing roving guidance, leading pop-up demonstrations, supporting existing programming such as  Tech Tuesday@2 (http://info.library.
okstate.edu/techtuesday) events, along with other duties as assigned.

The Emerging Technologies Intern will work 10 hours per week during the Fall 2017 semester (April 14-Dec. 15, 2017).  Hours will primarily be scheduled Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.  Special project hours may be assigned outside of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. with advance notice.

Employment as an intern is on a semester-by-semester basis.  Continued employment is contingent upon funding and performance.  This position may be eligible for internship credit for some majors.  Filing for credit is the responsibility of the student.

Salary:  $11.50/hour

Respoonsibilities: The Emerging Technologies Intern will work collaborative with OSU Library faculty, staff, and students in providing technology support, assistance, and training.  The Intern will help develop new initiatives, lead instructional sessions, assess effectiveness, support efforts in promoting technology available through the OSU Library, and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
* OSU student enrolled at least part-time (6 hours undergraduate/4 hours graduate).
* Strong communication skills.
* Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
* Comfort asking questions and seeking feedback.
* Comfort with public speaking.
* Comfort with technology.
* Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and ability to work on PC.
* Ability to maintain professional decorum in a team environment and accept constructive feedback.

* Experience with GoPro cameras.
* Experience with 360 cameras.
* Experience with popular Adobe products.
* Experience with 3D printing.
