This is a friendly reminder that the Creative Lightning awards is taking submissions through Friday night. The CLA's are a great opportunity for students to show off work, build resumes and get awarded for their projects. OSU AdClub hosts this competition to help students get into (and win) American Advertising awards -- aka, the Addy's. Last year, CLA work won seven students an Addy -- four of which were for a commercial/film they produced. The CLA's are open to students of all majors, have a variety of categories (video, digital, graphic, campaigns) and are judged by members of AD2OKC. These professionals give everyone feedback to improve their work before the Addy deadline in December.
Here are the details to enter:
The deadline for entries is Friday (Sept. 30) at midnight.
Cost is $25 per entry. After your first paid entry, you'll get a $5 off coupon. Email Cynthia Nichols or Andrew
Burnett for details.
"Best of" designs will be entered into its respective category in the Oklahoma City Addy's. OSU AdClub will
pay the entry fee.
Go to http://www.osuadclub.com/cla.html to enter.
All entries must be a reduced size PDF or JPG or some other easily readable file. If you have a file that is too
big, then upload to the website of your choice and put the link in a .doc or .pdf file.
There are 22 categories for you to choose from and any work that was created in 2016 can be considered --
videos, music or copy that you are extremely proud of could be a great submission.
The CLA awards will be a come and go celebration in the lobby of the Paul Miller Building on Friday, October
7th from 4:30 p.m.-6:00 p.m. Everyone is invited . . . including industry professionals (who can help with
internships and jobs). Light appetizers will be served.
