Faculty Research: Characteristics of Online Magazine Editors and ‘Real Women’ in Advertising

      

Graduate student Joy Jenkins discusses her research on editors at online magazines

       Dr. Jami Fullerton and graduate student Joy Jenkins shared the results of two of the most recent research papers by School of Media and Strategic Communications at the most recent faculty research colloquium Oct. 7. Jenkins, who also is a senior editor of Tulsa People magazine, explored the world of online magazine editors, while Fullerton presented graduate student Amber Remke’s paper on how readers respond to real women, as opposed to thin models, in advertising.
