Assistant Professor

Dr. Skye Cooley is an assistant professor in the School of Media and Strategic Communications at Oklahoma State University.  He holds undergraduate degrees in International Relations and International Studies, has a Masters in Mass Communication degree, and earned his doctorate in Mass Communication at the University of Alabama.

Dr. Cooley holds certifications of accreditation in public relations (APR) and civilian service peace keeping operations (POTI).  He has traveled actively through Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa; publishing and presenting research on international political communication.  He has written for a number of local, national, and international news services on matters ranging from politics to international sport.  He also works with the Pentagon-based Strategic Multi-Layered Assessment group conducting open source intelligence research using the M3S platform at Texas A&M University and conducts research into civic engagement in online environments.
