Prior to joining the faculty OSU, Prof. Freeman served as a reporter for four newspapers and two magazines. He also served as a producer and editor for the ABC affiliate in Philadelphia. He was a cohost for an award-winning show on Louisiana Public Television. A practicing attorney, Professor Freeman is a member of the Louisiana and United States Supreme Court bars.

Research Interest and Publications
Professor Freeman’s research interests include entrepreneurial journalism, advertising regulation, communication in class actions, public opinion and access to information. He has published numerous articles in leading mass communication, political science and law journals. He has served as an expert in several class action cases. Professor Freeman recently finished a book on the Bill of Rights.
