Social Media and Promotions Intern -- OSU Alumni Association, Washington, DC Chapter

The social media and promotions intern helps the Oklahoma State University Alumni Association Washington, DC Chapter by developing and implementing a strategy to increase its reach and engagement among Cowboys and Cowgirls in the greater DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) area.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Social Media
* Write and schedule regular social media posts and create Facebook events to keep DC alumni up to date
* Ensure content is consistent in tone across the web and engages a diverse audience
* Monitor social platforms and connect with audiences
* Design and manage social ad campaigns and recommend additional social media platforms as appropriate
* Prepare periodic engagement reports for chapter leadership

Website
* Develop chapter website
* Maintain site and frequently refresh content

Merchandise Sales & Promotions
Work with chapter leadership to coordinate orders and distribution for t-shirts and other merchandise

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
* Experience managing a business or organization's social media presence
* Strong writing and proofreading skills
* Demonstrated self-starter
* Familiarity with content management systems and social media platforms, such as.Facebook
* A passion for all things orange
